Erasmus+ Project: 360 WEE – Women’s Entrepreneurship for Empowerment
360 WEE was an Erasmus+ project co-funded by the European Union and implemented by GMD and Verein INMOS, dedicated to promoting female entrepreneurship, especially for women at risk of discrimination or from marginalized backgrounds.
Our goal was to reduce the gender gap in employment in Malta and Austria by supporting aspiring women entrepreneurs in developing their potential and enhancing the value of female-led businesses in society.
The 360 WEE Training Programme
From 15 to 18 May 2025, the project engaged a selected group of participants in an intensive training programme in Malta, delivered in both in-person and hybrid formats.
What we achieved:
- Development of soft skills (self-confidence, global mindset)
- Enhancement of technical skills (marketing, innovation, business strategy)
- Meetings with female role models, business angels, and investors
- Pitch sessions with personalized feedback
Participants
✔ Women aged 19+
✔ Resident in Malta or Austria
✔ Motivated to start a business, develop entrepreneurial skills, or strengthen an existing project
Participation was free of charge, and the project represented a real opportunity for growth, connection, and inspiration for all involved.
Meetings with role models
As part of the 360 WEE project, we connected our participants with inspiring female role models who shared their experience and entrepreneurial journey. These meetings were designed to empower and motivate our trainees while building bridges and fostering both local and transnational networks.
Collaborative development sessions
The 360 WEE project also included four Collaborative Development Sessions, delivered in mixed Maltese-Austrian teams. These sessions focused on monitoring learning application and supporting the development of participants’ business plans through peer feedback.
Meetings with business institutions and investors
As part of the 360 WEE project, our participants engaged directly with business institutions and investors to strengthen their entrepreneurial skills and explore real opportunities.
Meetings with business institutions and investors took place in June and September 2025. Participants engaged with representatives from Business First, Crowe (Tax Consulting), KWF Carinthian Promotion Funds, FPEI, Invest in Klagenfurt, Zaar Crowdfunding Malta, the Carinthian Venture Fund, and the European Institute of Innovation & Technology (EIT).
These meetings helped participants understand national business ecosystems, available funding instruments, and practical procedures for setting up a business in Malta and Austria.
Pitching session
Our participants also presented their business ideas to a jury of Maltese, Austrian and international investors and experts who provided feedback on feasibility and financial consistency. The session was based on the Dolphin Tank format (as opposed to the Shark Tank format), developed by Springboard Enterprises, an international network supporting women entrepreneurs. Unlike traditional pitch competitions, our goal was to foster collaboration, provide constructive feedback, and champion innovators.
USEFUL MATERIALS
In the framework of the 360 WEE project, we have produced useful materials for aspiring female entrepreneurs and for those interested in promoting female entrepreneurship.
